- Arguing with your Driving Instructor will only make things uncomfortable for both, avoid it at all cost. They are only trying to teach all you the High way code rules to ensure you are skills are developed.
- Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
- Instructor may swap tests if they feel another candidate is more capable of a successful test to avoid loss of confidence and resources.
- Personality, Confidence, Stress, mood, emotions, Risk perception, Hazard perception,
- Mental workload, Distractions,
- Fatigue, Alcohol and drugs,
- Technology, Road environment will affect your driving ability.
- Please come to the lessons fully focused to attain or improve your driving skills without being distracted by political or religious or other unnecessary views.
- Excessive internet and social media use can affect your level of concentration on the roads and may cause delays in retaining new information as the brain is frequently hyperactive and can not switch off to rest.
- Unfortunately the above habits can create false sense of reality and unrealistic expectations along with tiredness fatigue and mood disorders along with ADHD.
- All intensive courses will be delivered in 5 hour slots unless agreed.
- Trainees please do not copy driver’s on the rd, as their driving habits may not adhere to updated Highway Code regulations due to lack of care and due attention and responsibilities.
- Partly trained pupils must take an assessment session before booking any driving courses or tests. This will ensure training contents (please see content page) and syllabus is fully completed with independent driving abilities before committing to driving exam.
- All trainees are expected to keep a reflective learning log to ensure accurate records of training and development. This will encourage personal reachable goal setting and enhance the driving experience with new targets for the next session.
- Lessons prices may increase due to inflation and fuel price rises. Unfortunately this can affect courses that have been booked before 2022.
- Driving tests are charged £130 for Luton and £150 for Leighton Buzzard and St Albans.
- To reduce expenses all lessons and test fees must be paid for in advance, 48 hours before for hourly lessons and ten working days for intensive courses.
- Please do not book a driving test without authorization from the Driving Instructor. This helps to ensure test success and avoid double bookings, loss of confidence and reduce test waiting times. Also presenting sub-standard candidates at tests can result in disciplinary action against Instructors, for wasting time and resources.
- Due to close proximity good personal hygiene is appreciated.
- Minimum 48 hours notice or 10 working days for intensive courses must be given for cancellations or rescheduling otherwise it is chargeable. This is to keep lessons prices reasonable.
- As we specialise in intensive courses and first time passes, we need discipline, motivation and complete adherence to instructions otherwise test success can not be achieved.
- All students must inform the instructor if they are on any medication that can affect their driving.
- Students must make sure emotions are kept under control and behave defensively should another road user show aggression.
- To ensure a successful test attempt the Driving Instructor will carry out a through assessment and evaluation using a ‘Mock Test’. If the mock test results brings serious or dangerous driving faults then driving test will need to be postponed followed by additional training.
- Instructor has the right to refuse the use of their vehicles should a candidate go for a premature driving test.
- Please ensure that you inform the Driving Instructor of any mental or physical disabilities.
- All block booked lessons must be taken within a month and half otherwise they will be forfeited unless agreed.
